Cinderella

This charm necklace was made in memory of my childhood. Walt Disney’s Cinderella was my favorite book—to the point where I thought I was reading long before I actually could, because I had memorized the entire thing and could recite it page by page. Each charm represents a character or element of the plot, telling the story around the neck. The coach charm is a locket that opens to reveal the “lost glass slipper” that proves Cinderella is the rightful princess-to-be. The shoe inside is a Barbie shoe, representing another one of my more lucid and favorite childhood memories, while also serving as part of the necklace’s narrative.
