Refurbished Vintage Ring

This onyx poison ring belonged to the wearer's aunt, and one half of it's original adjustable band had broken off. Not wanting to risk damaging the stone by removing and resetting it, instead I cut off the other side of the adjustable band, and set the whole ring atop a new band. Not wanting to scrap any part of a family memento, I then turned the two halves of the original adjustable band into coordinating earrings, thus returning the whole ring to the wearer.
